CBP Technique

Dr. Joe utilizes the principles of CBP® Technique by applying mirror image adjustments through an impulse instrument. The impulse instrument sends an optimal frequency input to the spine. This causes more bone movement to occur and more neural receptors to be stimulated during the adjustment. "These are the exact mechanisms that research has determined are important in accomplishing the chiropractic adjustment, " said Tony Keller, Ph.D., a professor of Mechanical Engineering and Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Vermont.

Mirror Image adjustments involve placing the patient in their opposite posture. This has been described as "reflecting" the patient's head, rib cage, and/or pelvis across the median-sagittal plane in the AP view, and positioning the head, rib cage, and/or pelvis across the mid-frontal plane in the lateral view, once the patient's initial presenting abnormal posture has been exactly determined.

In some of the more difficult cases, postural traction may be necessary for several of the rotations and translations of the head, rib cage, and/or pelvis.
